Can I delete a review?

Unfortunately, we do not allow reviews to be deleted

Can I write a review and remain anonymous?

Only your username will be shown beside your comments and reviews. We do not allow anonymity as we want to ensure the integrity of the information we provide and to remain fair to businesses

Who can see my reviews?

Your ratings and review headings will be public, however the full content of your review will only be visible to registered and verified users

Can I comment on a review that somebody else has posted?

You can’t comment on somebody else’s review directly, however, you can write your own review to tell your story

Can a business delete a review that they don’t like?

No. It is not possible for anyone to delete a review

How can I add my business?

If your business offers expat friendly services, then please add your business or claim your business if your business is already listed

I can’t find the correct business category for my business. Can I create a new business category?

Just select “General Business” and we will look into this

I can’t find the correct business activity for my business. Can I create a new business activity?

Yes. Type the activity you wish to add and push enter to confirm the activity

Is it free to list my business?

Yes. When you add your business or claim your business (if somebody else has already listed your business) you can sign up for the free trial of our premium service to fully experience how an international audience can benefit your business

My business is listed but I can’t see full contact details or reviews. How can I update this information?

This means you currently have a basic listing which has been added by an existing customer or a representative of expatfriendlylocals.com. Go to your business listing and click Tell us more or claim my business

Are there different listing types?

Yes. We offer basic and premium packages which offer different levels of service. Add your business or claim your business to find out more

How do I update my business details?

Login to your business user account and click on your business name on the top right hand corner of the homepage to access your business profile

I haven’t added my business but my business details are listed. How did they get there?

This means your business has been added by an existing customer or a representative of expatfriendlylocals.com

Can I request for a review that I do not like to be removed or changed?

No. However, do contact us about your concerns and we will look into it

Is my membership renewed automatically?

Yes. We will automatically renew your membership at the end of each period, depending on how long you have signed up for

How can I see a statement of my account?

Login to your business user account and access your business profile by clicking your business name on the top right hand corner of the homepage

What payment methods are available? How do I pay?

We accept various methods of payment, including most major credit cards and iDeal for our customers in the Netherlands. All payments are processed securely through third party payment services and your payment details are not held by expatfriendlylocals.com. Alternative arrangementscan also be made to pay electronically by direct debit or bank transfer on invoice

For premium subscribers only - you can reply to any reviews that your customers have left for you on your business page

Can I add photos and videos to my business profile page?

For premium subscribers only - you can increase your visibility by adding photos to your exclusive business profile

Can I display my company logo?

For premium subscribers only - you can stand out from the crowd by uploading your company logo on your exclusive business profile

Can I add the areas that my business covers and the radius we cover?

For premium subscribers only - spread the word and set the radius you cover to make it easier for customers to find you and expand your network

Can I extend special offers to expatfriendlylocals.com users?

For premium subscribers only - you are entitled to extend special offers and discounts to our user base through your exclusive business profile page. We will also promote your business on your behalf through various social media channels. Contact us for further details

How can I upgrade my basic listing?

If you have already claimed your business, Login to your business account, click Upgrade now and follow instructions. If you have not yet claimed your business and created your business account, then please go to your listing, and follow the steps to claim your business
