We've been to Rex a few times since moving here. It's in a good location right in the middle of the pedestrianised area in Groest. A great spot for people watching. Their new street food menu is okay, however I do prefer going there for just drinks or a meal, rather than snack food. Can be a bit pricey depending on what you order. CJ1980 | 08-04-2019

An unseasonably sunny and hot October day allowed us to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine. Nice staff, sunny spot and a cold Sauvignon Blanc made for a pleasant lunchtime. Lesley M | 10-10-2018

We have visited Rex on several occasions and really enjoy their steaks and salads. The only time we have been disappointed was when we visited last week with overseas visitors at 8.45pm to be told that the kitchen was closed and they could only serve us if we ordered steak. Although we do like their steaks, one of our visitors was vegetarian so the menu was going to be far too restrictive with only meat on the menu. Expat | 02-04-2018
