After living in the NL for over 10 years, I still didn’t dare to speak Dutch (though I took some language courses in the past and had some ‘passive’ knowledge). My goal was to finally start speaking the language, and a friend of mine recommended Sylvia. I did a one week ‘full immersion’ program, and I am incredibly happy with my progress. The barrier of speaking is gone now, I finally started to actively engage into conversations in Dutch. Learning dutch with Sylvia was a great experience. She was able to address all of my individual needs in learning a language. I am really grateful for Sylvia's help. We had a wonderful day with Sylvia. She went through a lot of trouble to prepare for this course about the differences between the Afrikaans and Dutch languages, which are somewhat the same, but also has lots of differences. There was an excellent mix of theory and practical application of what was taught. De lessen met Sylvia zijn helemaal anders dan “ de normale” lessen en het werkt heel goed. Ik heb drie programma’s bij Sylvia gevolgd : Nederlands Leren met “het paard” Tijdens de lessen waren wij samen met Sylvia het paard aan het verzorgen, wandelen en tegelijkertijd veel aan het kletsen. Sylvia corrigeerde me streng. Voorbereiding voor een examen Het was heel intensief maar wel leuk. Sylvia concentreert zich op de leerling en zijn behoeftes . Door “Distance learning” heb ik mijn schrijfvaardigheden verbeterd. Ik heb op verschillende scholen in Nederland gezeten om Nederlands te leren dus ik heb heel veel ervaring opgedaan. Maar ik heb nog nooit zo`n lerares als Sylvia leren kennen. Zij is de beste. Ik beveel haar met gerust hart aan aan iedereen die snel de Nederlandse taal onder de knie wil krijgen.
