Jan van Iken's Old Builders Yard is a great place to visit if you're in to quality old building materials. Anything from stone, wood, wrought iron, tiles, fireplaces, lights, staircases etc can be found here. Everything has been reclaimed from old buildings. We purchased some amazing old wrought iron gates for the side of our house and it's as if they were made to measure for our house. We also purchased original Belgium Blue floor tiles for our kitchen, a beautiful vanity unit for our bathroom which was made from reclaimed oak and black granite and a fabulous industrial factory light for our family room. They are very helpful. Prices can start off a bit high but there is always room for negotiation so be prepared to do a bit of haggling. Expat | 25-01-2018
